- Ensure strong coordination and maximum integration of all activities with other partners and stakeholders
- Ensure successful transference of mentoring and service delivery to the MOH by supporting leadership, direction and coordination, and decision-making
- Thorough implementation of planned activities, continue, improve and expand RH/MNCH/FP services within the project zone in a manner that ensures high-quality standards and efficiency.
- Take the direct lead of planning and implementation of all planned RH/MNCH/FP activities within assigned geographic area of the APHIAplus Western Kenya project, under the overall supervision of the RH/MNCH/FP Advisors respectively. Ensure these activities are implemented to the highest degree of quality possible.
- Activities include: supportive supervision, mentorship and coaching, on-job-training, off-site orientation, dissemination of guidelines and standards, implementing quality improvement initiatives, organizing and managing RH campaigns, community outreach and community health worker education, fostering community-facility linkages, and other activities as outlined in the Project’s annual workplan.
- Program Support: Work Planning, and Budgeting, Financial Reconciliation, and Reporting:
- Analyze reports received from field sites, including financial reports
- Carry out other duties as necessary and as assigned by immediate supervisor
- Help research, write and compile program information and statistics for use by internal APHIAplus/PATH offices
- Conduct programmatic innovations that will be lifesaving and will improve the quality of healthcare services to clients.
- Assist with other programmatic and administrative duties as required for successful implementation of program activities
- Support demand creation for services through community mobilization, health education and advocacy for RH/MNCH/FP services.
- Ensure the required technical and administrative reports are submitted on time, and are completed accurately and professionally.
- Assist with the development of work plans, liaising with Ministry of Health staff and donors regarding implementation, monitoring and evaluation programs.
- Provide program support to the RH/MNCH/FP Advisors and other PATH program, finance and administrative staff; including helping with the preparation of proposals as requested.
- Order training and other materials required for implementation of program activities in coordination with the RH/MNCH/FP Advisors and ensure that these materials and supplies reach program sites in a timely manner.
